The artist has style

There are a few classic looks that never go out of style. Black and white patterns with red accents is one of them. Local artist Liza Brown combined classic with edgy in her vintage coat and cherry red lipstick from Target. Her jeans are from her sister's closet along with her Anthropology hoodie. She tops off her unique style with a black, silver-studded tank from Goodwill and hoop earrings from Target.

The fashion diva was spotted painting the chalkboard signs at Cake in University Place to help update the boutique's look. Her fabulous work can be seen here and is on consignment at Sushi Revolution and Station 56 where 40 percent of the profits goes to fund new local playgrounds.

Brown is also part of Dare to Dream, a foundation geared toward putting art programs back in schools and helping kids get involved with healthy activities in their communities. She will be riding her bike from Seattle to Alaska in 2010 to raise money for these causes.

Brown also specializes in portraits, custom murals and home décor, dabbles in photography, and has a solo album with bluesy original tunes that will be available soon.
