The dismal days of winter drag on as my world suffers one of the greatest losses it may ever know. My dog Cherry, best friend and family member of 15 years, passed away. She was a force beyond anything imaginable, a flash of black fur roaring by as she’d run laps around the house, her soft brown eyes and insightful spirit could mend any situation. That Marley and Me dog has nothing on her; she was selfless, loyal and lived completely in the moment. She was the most exquisite creature to ever grace the earth on four paws.



Chantelle Phillips, a dear friend, arrived in style to say her goodbyes in a black Lands End Jacket and matching waterproof black boots done by La Candienne — purchased at Zappos.com. Her skinny jeans from J.Crew, Gap turtleneck, and amazing jewelry complete her look. She sports a Bracelet and watch by Cartier and silver hoop earrings from Nordstrom. Phillips gets her hair cut and styled by Julie Kirk at Ola salon in West Seattle and finishes off her fabulous look with a funky oversized bag from Macy’s Style&Co. At the end of Cherry’s life she was warm, surrounded by love and will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.
