Dressing for college campus activities is a fashion challenge. In a sea of sweat pants, last night‘s makeup, matted hair and flip-flops — with the occasional freshmen in heels and big hair who won’t figure out until sophomore year to stop dressing up for class, how can anyone be fashion forward without appearing like an out-of place-freshmen or slob?



Gonzaga student Alyssa Ennis has accomplished the perfect college look. Her chic laid-back style turns heads while she casually soaks up sun at Madonnastock, an event held on Gonzaga’s campus where Washington-based bands play. Local Tacoma bands get ready to sign up for next years show!



Ennis’s flowy purple top is spring’s hott new color. Her white knit sweater from TJ Maxx gives a nod to bohemian style, fitting in nicely with the surrounding venue. Ennis’s dark denim jeans from Express are the classic college pant, slimming, and fitting her body beautifully. With the right length to be paired with her cute flats — also from TJ Maxx, without appearing sloppy or overbearing on her small frame. She accessorizes with a white headband from Claire’s to finish her look. Ennis knows that looking great while strutting your stuff on any campus doesn’t mean waking up super early for class, but having comfortable classic low key pieces to look simple and effortlessly fabulous.
