There is nothing worse than an afternoon spent at the mall attempting to add to your unique look. Being smacked with shopping bags and carts with children screaming, trying to break free from their plastic leashes, and realizing you are buying the same thing that 20 other people have in their arms. Fortunately, exotic modern boutiques are springing up around Tacoma. Dame Lola has emerged from its watery grave in downtown to be more glamorous than ever, newly located near Stadium High School.

Dame Lola carries styles that look straight out of Vogue Chic and funky with an air of sophistication, like Young Fabulous and Broke — a favorite line of Jennifer Robbins.

Robbins, owner of J. Robbins Florist on Eighth and Pacific Avenue in Tacoma, was spotted at Dame Lola’s grand re-opening Saturday in a crisp white top from said shop encouraging people to have champagne, hors d’oeuvres and shop. Her face streaked with bright red paint from modeling the latest looks sold at the boutique made her stand out — now in her street clothes. Her trouser jeans from Gap contrasted wonderfully with her explosive dark wild curly hair, done by her sister at Benno of Germany. She paired her whole look with snakeskin flats from Target and Sexy Smile. For the hottest trends and individual pieces twisted with a modern urban feel, look no further than Dame Lola.
