HOLIDAY PARTY

Garfield Book Company (208 Garfield St., Tacoma) is hosting an open holiday party. From 2-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, attendees may enjoy refreshments, raffles, door prizes, giveaways and more. Chef/owner John Sundstrom of Lark restaurant in Seattle, as well as an author of Northwest recipes, will host a cooking demonstration from 3-4 p.m. Steve Roberts, author of Wine Trails NW, will host wine tastings accompanied by his book signing. This event is free to attend.

FARM TO TABLE

Marrow Kitchen and Bar (2717 Sixth Ave., Tacoma) is hosting a Farm to Table carnivore inspired dining event from 6-9 p.m. Jan. 13. This is not simply a six-course meal with dessert. The $100 price tag includes a signature cocktail, live music from courtesy Emily Peterson's cello as well as the opportunity to meet and mingle with the local farmers, producers and Marrow's chef, Kyle Wnuk.
