DRINK TO AN UNDERACHIEVER

There's a new brew in town. Engine House No. 9 (611 N. Pine St., Tacoma) concocted Underachiever, a lager with limited release. You may grab a four pack of tall boys for $9.25. It can also be chugged at Doyle's Public House (208 Saint Helens Ave., Tacoma). Get some.

PARTY ON THE WILD SIDE

Wild Side Wine (608 S. Oxford, Tacoma) hosts a holiday event offering artsy gifts by local artists such as Gramlich, Gray, Pederson, Daily and Schlemmer. Of course wine will be available, in the form of a wine tasting highlighting 90+ point vinos - paying special attention to fine wines for food pairing. Admission is free; wine-tasting portion is $5. PEACE OUT HOLIDAY PARTY

Non-profit organization Peace Out's holiday party will include live music, a silent auction and an ornament and art sale Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Greener Bean (1039 Regents Blvd., Fircrest). CHEF DINNER

Sunday, Dec. 2 Chef Bill of the award-winning Adriatic Grill (4201 S. St. Street, Tacoma) hosts one of his famous Chef Dinners, specifically a five-course feast paired with a libation. Celebrate the holidays with rich Italian fare, indulge in good wine and enjoy the classy decor. Perfect for date night. MUSTACHEVAGANZA!

Metronome Coffee (3518 Sixth Ave., Tacoma) has been extra mustachey this month due to Movember. The stellar hipster staches seem to have shine as if spotlights graced them. The coffee shop with a bitchin' outdoor fireplace bring Movember to a close 7-11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 when it hosts Gnomevember Mustachevaganza Expect a mustache competition, live music and drink specials.
