FALL BREW FEST

After paying $10-$15, the Varsity Grill (114 Broadway, Tacoma) will serve you nine fall beer samples, a variety of appetizers and all sorts of fun from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28. Plus, 950 AM KJR sports radio will be broadcasting live until 7 p.m., and the always-awesome RockBot live-band karaoke will take over after that.

OYSTERFEST

Morso (9014 Peacock Hill Ave., Gig Harbor) hosts OysterFest featuring them raw, grilled, pan-fried or in a stew all day Oct. 28-29.

FRIDAYS UNCORKED

The Bayview School of Cooking (516 W. Fourth Ave., Olympia) will pour five Lake Chelan wines and cider with complementary cheeses from 5-7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28. The cost is $12 per person. No RSVP is required.

BREWMASTER'S DINNER

Salty's at Redondo Beach (28201 Redondo Beach Drive S., Des Moines) will hook up with Georgetown Brewery for a five-course Brewmaster's Dinner at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28. Chef Gabe Cabrera will discuss how and why he selected each pairing, and Adam Winn, brewmaster, will talk about the beers.

BEER TASTING

The Harmon Brewery is hosting a beer tasting from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at the QFC in Gig Harbor (5010 Point Fosdick Dr. NW, 253.851.3900). Oakland A's and Moneyball star Scott Hatteberg will help host the event.

WINE TASTING

The Olympic Wine Merchants (101 N. Capitol Way, Olympia) will pour wines from the Piedmont region from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30. The tasting costs $9.

A GRAND GERMAN REPAST

The Bayview School of Cooking (516 W. Fourth Ave., Olympia) will teach how to make a goulash with spaetzle dinner at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1. The cost is $45 per person. Reserve your spot at 360.754.1448.

WINE CLASS

Swing Wine Bar (825 Columbia St. SW., Olympia) will host a wine class on Italian small vineyards at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov 2. The cost is $30 per person Reserve your spot at 360.357.9464.

COCKTAIL PARTY

Every first Fridayof the month, Brix 25 (7707 Pioneer Way, Gig Harbor) will delve into the wonderful world of mixology with a late afternoon cocktail party from 4:30-7 p.m. for $25, which includes appetizers.

ENDLESS SUSHI ROLL

TWOKOI Japanese Restaurant (1552 Commerce St., Tacoma) offers an awesome weekday lunch deal for those you dig sushi rolls. For $19 you may chow down as many rolls as you can at the sushi bar from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday. Go for it.

FRIENDLY REMINDER

The Varsity Grill (1114 Broadway Tacoma) serves $5 steak and shrimp after 4 p.m. every Wednesday. Pretty awesome.
