Bayview School of Cooking (516 W. Fourth Ave., Olympia) hosts casual wine or beer tastings overlooking Budd Bay from 5-7:30 p.m. every other Friday this summer. Friday, June 24, party-worthy pitcher concoctions will be tasted for $12 per person.

In celebration of its one-year anniversary, Caffe Dei (2607 Sixth Ave., Tacoma) will host a vegan barbecue party from 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 1. Throw on your flip-flops, grab a beer and a burger and kick back.

PICNIC

Salty's at Redondo Beach (28201 Redondo Beach Dr. S., Des Moines) hosts an Independence Day picnic-style lunch from 1-4 p.m. Monday, July 4 for $19 per person. They'll also bust out an all-day happy hour featuring $4 Salty's Amber and $2 Coor's Light.

BRAVO

The Gig Harbor Wine and Food Festival will host 30 regional wineries and breweries, as well as Brovo's Top Chef contestant Chef Kevin Gillespie of the Woodfire Grill in Atlanta, Saturday, Aug. 6 at the Harbor History Museum.
