BEER DINNER: Executive Chef Gabriel Cabrera and beer monger Scott McDowell pair Oregon's Deschutes Brewery with Northwest flair in five courses at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28 at Salty's at Redondo Beach (28201 Redondo Beach Dr., Des Moines). The cost is $64.99.

BACON: Doyle's Pubic House (208 Saint Helens Ave., Tacoma) serves three pieces of bacon for $1 beginning at 8 p.m. every Monday.

WINE RELEASE: 21 Cellars in Tacoma has just released 2006 Promesse 21 (Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon) and 2009 Pont 21 (Chardonnay). Taste these puppies for $5 from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29. At 2621 N. 21st St. in Tacoma.

WEEKEND OF LOVE: Pacific Grill (1502 Pacific Ave., Tacoma) will serve a Valentine's menu, including special desserts, Feb. 11-14. Check it at 253.627.3535.

CRAB FEAST: On Sundays and Mondays through February, Salty's at Redondo (28201 Redondo Beach Dr. S., Des Moines) will serve a pound of Dungeness crab with all the trimmings for $24.99.

POULTRY FLIGHT: Pour at Four wine bar (3814 N. 26th St., Tacoma) will offer wine flights paired with pheasant, duck and dame hen 5:30-9:30 p.m. Jan. 28-29 for $38.

SUNDAY NIGHT SOUP: The Bayview School of Cooking (516 W Fourth Ave., Olympia) will teach you how to make three soups at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16. The cost is $45. Reserve your spot at 360.754.1448.

BIB ‘N BID: The Junior League of Tacoma's 5th Annual Crab Feed will happen at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Tacoma Yacht Club. Besides all the crab you can eat, there will also be a silent and live auction, and no host bar. Tickets are $50, and are available at www.jltacoma.org.

THAI COMFORT FOOD: Guest Chef Pranee Khruasanit Halvorsen will teach you how to cook Thai dishes at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb., 28 at The Bayview School of Cooking (516 W Fourth Ave., Olympia). The cost is $50. Reserve your spot at 360.754.1448.
