Dude, somewhere - in the back of your closet, maybe - there's a necktie. You own one. Put it on. Or don't. Doesn't matter. Either way, it's time for you to get some culture. Luckily for you, this is recital week at Pacific Lutheran University, which serves as one-stop shopping for all things musically classy. Take, for example, Thursday at 8, when pianists Christina Dahl and Oksana Ezhokina present a series of duets. (Say it with us: "Oksana Ezhokina." Don't you feel smarter already?) Friday at 5:30, it's a series of woodwind performances, followed by senior vocal students the next day. Sunday at 3, Lagerquist Concert Hall hosts a program of "Early Music at Its Finest," including works by Corelli and Haydn. The University Singers and Vocal Chamber perform Tuesday at 8. Then, at 8 p.m. Wednesday, the Regency String Quartet presents pieces by Brahms, Haydn and Mozart. Along the way, you'll learn French and international diplomacy, or at least how to tie a four-in-hand knot.

RECITAL WEEK, Thursday through Wednesday, April 23-29, Pacific Lutheran University, 12180 Park Ave. S., Tacoma, free to $8, 253.535.7411
