Havilah Rogers

On a student budget

Looking cute doesn't have to cost a fortune. I’m thankful for that; otherwise I'd be one electric/heat bill away from making a garbage sack my raincoat. It all comes down to having a keen eye for basic reusable pieces and, most importantly, knowing where to get great deals at a bargain price.

Nineteen-year-old Havilah Rogers knows how to be stylish and cozy in these blustery winter months while sticking to her broke student budget. Roger's was spotted outside of her women's studies class at Tacoma Community College in a fitted brown corduroy jacket with a gray hoodie sewn into it from Costco.

She casually threw the more bang for your buck double-layered coat over a colorful shirt from Papaya that added a nice pop to her look.

Her light wash skinny jeans from JCPenney are the perfect pant for this rainy season. They look fabulous either tucked into boots or with an adorable pair of flats — such as Roger's black and floral printed ballet flats from Sears.

She dresses up her low-key style with sparkling dangly earrings from JCPenny and thick chestnut hair cut at Hair Masters.

Roger's oversized book bag from the Gap shows what a diligent student this future biology major is while she proves that looking smart and sassy will always be in style.
