Carmen is stimulated

Six hundred ways to have fun

At the end of last week I was stimulated, over stimulated, and I spread that stimulation like a nasty virus all over this Tacoma.

I was elated to log into my online bank account to see that the U.S. government had direct deposited my $600 in economic stimulus just in time for a great weekend.

So, how did I start to spend that money?

Well, I began by buying myself a fancy new pair of sexy John Fluevog heels that I’d been eyeing online. Then I met up with Dallas for cocktails and bliss in Seattle at Linda’s and Tini Biggs.

Friday I couldn’t wait to get out of the office to stimulate those around me in Tacoma on that hot and bright day.

K-Love and I darted home to ditch our work clothes and jump into some tank tops to make our first visit of the season to the Masa deck. We sat amongst all of the sun-seekers, worked on our tans and had a blast nibbling on their tasty burrito. K-Love sipped on a Cadillac margarita and my melon mojitos were divine.

We were sad to see the sun go down, but our heels were clicking when we scored two seats at the Asado bar. We stayed there for the people watching and the Malbec (beyond stimulating).

After, I broke off and went to Magoo’s, which is always good for some saucy stimuli spreading. While there, I received text messages from Natasha and Jaime Kay Newton from the Top of Tacoma who let me know that the Top is now carrying Fireball whiskey, based on a special request from Natasha.

Naturally, I had to roll up the hill to find that fun, and an intoxicated Natasha. With full stimuli in hand, I partook in that Fireball and joined Natasha’s state of mind.

Thankfully, The Stroke tossed both of us in his car and safely got us home.

Saturday I found Little Lizzie, Tam Tam, Gretchen, Houston, The Frenchman, Jenny, Wade, Kathlyn, Thom, B-Rad, Tall Troy, Hammer, Fannin and probably a bunch of other people that I’m forgetting at the F***ing Eagles show at Bob’s Java Jive. That coffee pot was filled to the rim. It was extra sweaty, but that kind of stimulation is also pretty darn hot. I huddled with my girls, and we had such a good time making up ridiculous dances as the F***ing Eagles completely rocked.

Little Lizzie and I left the show pretty quickly because the new Fluevogs were hurting my feet (not so stimulating), and we nestled into some late-night happy hour treats at Matador.

Sunday was just as sweet as the rest of the weekend where I dropped a bunch of that new money on Jazzbones, CDs and T-shirts at Rock the Cause. This fund-raiser coordinated through Project:U and Love Tacoma hit the spot with excellent performances from all, especially Trip the Light Fantastic, Paris Spleen, Nasty Left and Bumma Stoge.

Thank you very much, U.S. Department of Treasury. I’m doing my part to support our national economy here in Tacoma.
