They say the best things in life are free, (or at least almost free). Especially when it comes to finding sweet deals on accessories and clothes. Bargain hunting has never been my forte; it takes a keen eye to put together an outfit from gently used clothes. So when I find someone with rockin’ personal style that hasn’t sacrificed their wallet, I’m not only impressed and amazed but super jealous for not possessing this same talent. Nicky Martin is queen of the recycled fashion world. She was spotted at Hanks Tavern enjoying a few drinks with some friends looking sharp and confident. I also had a few drinks and seemed to have carelessly misplaced the napkin I wrote all of her information on. So if my memory serves correctly — Martin sported a laid-back vibe and beige vest from the Goodwill. Her button-up shirt was snagged from her Mom’s closet, and her snazzy tie — also from the Goodwill. Her jeans and shoes were stolen from her sister and her belt from Red Light in Seattle. Martin got her ink done at House of Tattoo and spruces up her look with a lip piercing and ear piercings done at Flaming Dragon. She completes the whole ensemble with black square rimmed glasses and a smile. Martin’s thrifty skills are enough to make anyone start bargain hunting.
