We snapped her at Hank’s Tavern

Tacoma’s fashion taste is shocking within its local taverns. You are almost guaranteed to see some guy rocking the flannel, button-up mountain man look and a woman in overalls or high water jeans who obviously missed the memo that neither one of those looks is the least bit attractive. However, within the black hole of spandex and slippers that leave us cringing and asking “why?” — there are a few who can still give props to Tacoma’s overly laid-back style while remaining hip and chic.

Laurel Semerdjiam, a USC student and Tacoma native, stood out, winning a game of pool at neighborhood hot spot Hank’s Tavern. Her ominous eyes, bronzed skin and dark hair done by David Williams in Gig Harbor could stop traffic, but her carefree vibe was magnetic. She wore Ruby colored pants done by Joe’s and purchased at Marshalls with low-key Havana flip-flops from Nordstrom. Her long sleeve, versatile wrap is incredible and worth being jealous over — done by Elegance and bought in Los Angeles. Her quiet jewelry gives her exotic mystery with a gold necklace from Egypt, earrings from Macy’s and vintage rings from Pike Place Market. Her perfectly manicured nails done at Crystal Nails complete her simple yet chill style. Semerdjiam gives hope to Tacoma’s fashion scene by proving that someone can still get it right.
