KISS AT DOMINO'S

With all of the eateries really stepping it up with divine ambiance and stellar food, it would seem as though pizza chain giant Domino's is looking to bump it up a notch too. New locations boast hardwood floors and comfy seating areas for those not just looking for carry out or delivery. To celebrate the grand opening at Puyallup's new Domino's (10223 132nd St. E., Puyallup) KISS 106.1 will be visiting from 4-6 p.m., Saturday, June 15 raffling off tickets to the upcoming Justin Timberlake concert. Pop in and nibble on a $2 one-topping slice and drink combo, enjoy the people watching and score some swag.

NEW MENU

Dirty Oscar's (2309 Sixth Ave., Tacoma) has released its new spring/summer menu, and boy howdy does it look tasty. While neighborhood favorites in the Elk Sliders and Dead Elvis Burger remain, new additions include Beet and Bulgur Salad - as well as several other vegan and gluten free friendly options - Pretzel and Smoked Cheddar Beer Dip and a Quinoa Burger.

WATER AND WINE

Soak in some of the great outdoors when Vashon Vacations presents Water and Wine (and Spirits Too!) June 15 and 16. The weekend includes kayaking, paddle boarding abroad Quartermaster Harbor and afternoons filled with wine and spirit tasting. FATHER'S DAY

Ahem, this is your friendly reminder: If you've missed it peppered throughout our pages that this weekend is in fact Father's Day. To celebrate, you can take him down to Paddy Coyne's Irish Pub (815 Pacific Ave., Tacoma) for breakfast, lunch or dinner and score a buy one get one deal because dads eat for free all day Sunday, June 16. Doors open at 9 a.m.

PICNIC IN THE PARK

For all those history buffs looking to gain a wee bit more local knowledge with their lunch, Fort Steilacoom Park (8714 87th Ave. SW, Lakewood) is home to a monthly program, Picnic in the Park. Tuesday, June 18, beginning at 6 p.m., attendees can snag a potluck dish from home and join others at the large picnic shelter at the park. While you dine you'll also learn about the parks rich farming history. All are welcome to attend.

MOONSHINE WITH THE MOUNTAIN

Heritage Distilling Company (3207 57th Ct. NW, Gig Harbor) is hosting "Moonshine with the Mountain" Saturday, June 29. For those who admire the "Field to Flask," booze-y goodness, this is quite the treat. A lovely matrimony with local station 103.7FM The Mountain concocts quite the shindig and a recommended gift for dads and grads. Festivities include a shindig hosted by John Fisher of the Mountain as well as small bites paired with samples of HDC spirits. A bartender will be on site to show you the tricks of the trade and attendees will be treated with an in depth behind the scenes tour of the distillery. As proof of your distillery visit you also receive a 2-liter oak cask to take home and age your moonshine, a commemorative shot glass and all spirits can be purchased for $15 per bottle.
