ARMED FORCES DAY

If you're going to celebrate Armed Forces Day Saturday with the family, you might skip the breastaurant Hooters. Hanging out with the kids at Hooters makes as much sense as watching as gathering Eyes Wide Shut on Christmas morning. However, if it's just you and your fellow Soldiers looking for some wings after festivities at Joint Base Lewis-McChord or the big parade in Bremerton, Hooters with its orange interior and 1984-era wind shorts could hit the spot. Hooters is giving away 10 wings to all active and retired military personnel with a beverage purchase.

HARMON HOME RUN

Concoctors of all things hoppy, malty and brewtastic at Tacoma's own Harmon Brewery are taking over the ballgame. Cheney Stadium (2502 S. Tyler St., Tacoma) is hosting Harmon Brewery Night during the Rainiers' game May 22 beginning at 7 p.m. In exchange for a $7 reserve ticket you'll receive a $5 voucher for a pint of tasty Harmon beer. Sip on a Point Defiance, Mt Takhoma Blonde or a Black Tartan IPA. Anyone who has been to a fair share of baseball games knows a $5 ballpark brew is a steal. Get some.

NORTHWEST CORKS AND CRUSH GALA

Boasting an awe inspiring 18 wine tasting stations, live music, a silent auction, classic cars on display, valet service and gourmet meal provided by Snuffins Catering, the Northwest Corks and Crush Gala is an extravagant fundraising event indeed. Held at the Washington State Fair Event Center 5:30-11:30 p.m. the $225 ticket price benefits Multicare Good Samaritan Hospital - specifically the Children's Therapy Unit. In its sixth year, this black tie affair has raised more than $2 million. Party double oh-seven style for a good cause. STANLEY & SEAFORT'S

For this month only, Stanley and Seafort's (115 E. 34th St., Tacoma) is offering a delectable deal.
