SNOWFLAKE PARTIES

Tacoma has yet to see its annual light dusting of the white stuff. Puget Sound Pizza (317 S. Seventh St., Tacoma) doesn't want to wait and has popped out some Snowflake Parties. You can snag scissors and paper on site or bust out your own at home, relive your childhood crafting days and make a snowflake. Bring said snowflake in to PSP and get $2 off a large pie or $1 off of any other menu item (save for Friday and Saturday nights from 9-close). Snow savings are fun!

ICE CREAM SOCIAL

The sunshine isn't the only reason to partake in the sweet treat of ice cream. Think about it, you can add it to holiday pie, nibble on it while watching a flick or whatever, like we need an excuse. Medi's Pizza & Pasta doesn't need one. Medi's (2710 Sixth Ave., Tacoma) hosts an Ice Cream Social 1-8 p.m. every Saturday until Christmas, scooping some of your fave flavors such as salted caramel, cinnamon, chocolate and others. You can snag a pint to go or nibble then and there.

MONDAYS MEANS ARCHER

Salty's at Redondo Beach (28201 Redondo Beach Dr. S., Des Moines) delights diners with live music at 4 p.m. every Monday in December. Indulge in entrees highlighting fresh seafood selections while soulful songstress Kim Archer provides the ambiance. No reservations needed.

HOLIDAY PARTY

Tis the season for holiday parties! From 7-10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. Fish Tale Brewpub (515 Jefferson St. SE, Olympia) will host its 13th Annual Holiday Brass Bash. There will be horns-a-hooting, Santa-a-sitting, nibble noshing and all for a good cause. This fundraising party benefits the Thurston County Food Bank. Cash, checks and non-perishable food donations are accepted. Last year Fish Tale raised $800 and collected more than 200 food items. They're hoping to squash that with a new record.
