Although we've seen Engine House No. 9 Underachiever brew at MSM Deli, Doyle's, Masa, Broken Spoke, Rollies Tavern and Anthem Coffee, tasting it on its home turf is a joy. WINGMAN BREWING HOLIDAY STYLE
White Betty and Black Widow may sound suspiciously similar to your ex-wives, they are actually Belgian Tripel Style Ale, fermented with Semillon wine grapes, and a Belgian Style Dark Strong Ale, fermented with Tempranillo wine grapes, respectively. Collaboration with 21 Cellars, the beer and wine matrimony should make your taste buds do a happy dance. Wingman Brewing will be introducing these two brews beginning at 2 p.m. Dec. 21 in its taproom (509 ½ Puyallup Ave., Tacoma). There's a very limited supply so arrive early!
As we have mentioned before Heritage Distilling Co. (3207 57th St. Ct. NW, Gig Harbor) offers true booze fans the opportunity to distill their own barrels in what the distillery calls "My Batch" sessions. For $99 you may legally distill your own vodka, gin and whiskey. TASTINGS AT BEVMO

Liquor store giant BevMo (2330 S. 37th St., Tacoma) opens its tasting room 4-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28 for New Belgium Folly and Blue Moon Seasonal sips. Saturday, Dec. 29 BevMo is back with sparkling wine party featuring six sparkling beauties paired with President Brie.
