FREE CLASS

The Bayview School of Cooking (516 W. Fourth Ave., Olympia) will host a free cooking class on how to make fruit kabobs, plum upside-down cake and peach salad from 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4. No registration is required.

FOOD DRIVE

Papa Murphy's Take ‘N' Bake has teamed up with Northwest Harvest for a food drive. Seek the pizza joint out and donate.

WINE GARDEN

Pour at Four (3814 N. 26th St., Tacoma) will host a California wine garden from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6 during the Proctor Arts Festival.

COOKING CLASS

Primo Grill (601 S. Pine, Tacoma) hosts a Cuisine of Tuscany cooking class at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6. The cost is $65. Reserve your spot at 253.383.7000.

GIG HARBOR WINE AND FOOD FESTIVAL

The Gig Harbor Wine and Food Festival will host 30 regional wineries and breweries, as well as Bravo's Top Chef contestant Chef Kevin Gillespie of the Woodfire Grill in Atlanta, Saturday, Aug. 6 at the Harbor History Museum. TASTING MENU

Beginning Aug. 1 and running through the end of the month Salty's at Redondo Beach (28201 Redondo Beach Dr. S., Des Moines) if you order the restaurant's three-course tasting menu ($19) from 3-4 p.m. on a Monday, and ask for prime seating on the north deck, you'll get a chance to win the meal for free.
