PIZZA CHOMPETITIONS: The first round of Farrelli's Pizza Eating Chompetitions are currently underway. The Chompetition is a 20 minute pepperoni pizza eating challenge to see which competitor can chomp down the most 12-inch pepperoni pizzas.  Here are the remaining dates, times and locations: 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 19, 3518 Sixth Ave., Tacoma, 253.759.1999; 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, 210 Garfield St., Parkland, 253.538.0202; 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 15007 Main St. E., Sumner, 253.447.2227. There's a $20 entry fee. Winners with receive $125 cash.

WINTER WINE DINNER: Toscanos Café & Wine Bar (437 29th St. NE, Puyallup) hosts a Winter Wine Dinner featuring Washington's Goose Ridge Winery at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20. The cost is $75 per person. Reserve your spot at 253.864.8600.

ICE BLOCK PARTY: The Varsity Grill (1114 Broadway, Tacoma) will host their biggest beer event of the year - their annual outdoor Ice Block Party - 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21. Meet the brewers and/or beer experts of winter brews, taste at least nine winter beers, eat, listen to music and wine prizes. The cost is $15 per person. POULTRY FLIGHT: Pour at Four wine bar (3814 N. 26th St., Tacoma) will offer wine flights paired with pheasant, duck and dame hen 5:30-9:30 p.m. Jan. 28-29 for $38.

BIB ‘N BID: The Junior League of Tacoma's 5th Annual Crab Feed will happen at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Tacoma Yacht Club. Besides all the crab you can eat, there will also be a silent and live auction, and no host bar. Tickets are $50, and are available at www.jltacoma.org.
