Last Saturday, a high-energy crowd packed the Nelson Recreation Center at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, cheering loudly for bodybuilders strutting their stuff at the 2018 JBLM Bodybuilding Championship. Multicolored lights shone on contestants as they posed on stage before judges and audience members in the day's culminating performance event. In total, over 275 spectators showed up for the occasion, which included a nutrition clinic, functional fitness class, deadlift competition and bodybuilding competition.

Spencer, who won his first bodybuilding competition at JBLM in 2009, is an International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) professional bodybuilder.
