You know the feeling that you have forgotten something that lingers on and on for no reason sometimes?  Well, I've had it now for 10 days. I think it stems from being slightly hungover, living out of boxes and wading in pathways through said boxes in my new abode. I can't find anything. I have this nagging sensation that if I set down my hairbrush anywhere other than the bathroom I will never see it again.

So, I spent the first weekend of the month in Seattle. Change is good, especially scenery.

Friday, March 4

INDIE RAWKER BOY, HIS ROOMATE Z and I went on a DRUNKEN FIELD TRIP TO NEUMO'S in Seattle where we saw THE SATURDAY NIGHTS (boo) and MON FRERE (yeah). Indie and Z were riding on the fifth of scotch train when I scooped them up. It was a very loud drive to Sea-town. Their friends were great. Especially Mr. Longhair, who challenged Z to a four-day drinking competition. I'm gonna say ouch in advance on that. It's fitting, you know? We go all the way to Seattle and who's there?  O'Malley's CUTE BARTENDER PICKETT.

Saturday, March 5

I had a SMASHING DATE WITH A DASHING CHAP IN A DESIGNER SUIT. It was bottle of red, bottle of bubbly and martinis all around. Class, charm, manners and panache were overflowing. SeaTac's 24-hour restaurant 13 COINS has the most divine Steak Oscar ever and serves after dinner liqueurs in big tumblers.  Nice.

Tuesday, March 8

JAZZBONES' BARTENDER TAYLOR is one of the most engaging women I know.  Lunch at WILD ORCHID was perfect. We went post-rush, so the place was deserted. We didn't have to keep our voices down as we talked. Double nice.  Crab and cream cheese wontons are dreamy.

Wednesday, March 9

ROSEWOOD CAFE is like a little hidden goldmine. It's never too busy, and the beer and wine selection is awesome. Owner Barry used to be a rep for Mac'n'Jacks, so the beer choices are a given. The food is fab, too, as chef Kirsten promised. She makes a turkey curry soup that is to die for and will warm your bones on a chilly afternoon. The LADIES ONLY SOIREE AT JAZZBONES was marvelous as always, but I REALLY MISS TANYA not being there with all her sassy clothes and pretty jewelry from her shop. MISTRESS MARY was there, and for once, we actually got to talk for more than a second. Yeah!

Thursday, March 10

Raspberry cheesecake and a chai latte should be illegal, especially for the first meal of the day. RHAPSODY IN BLOOM has a decadent dessert menu, and owner Denise makes a killer coffee drink. We got to catch up a little on each other's day to day, but the time is never enough. As the sun was going down, I got a brief preview of the pieces ARTIST BRANDON BOOTE will be showing at Jazzbones next month. I wish I had talent like that. At 8 p.m., CARLEE (Buzzard's Record store hottie) and I went to THE SWISS for some girl time. We ended up in the smokers' hovel outside since the air was only borderline cold and we could hear each other talk. SMOOTH zipped in and zipped out again in a blond manly flash.

Friday, March 11

KELSIE'S ANNUAL BIRTHDAY BASH at Hell's Kitchen was bitchin', and VIXEN KAREN'S AFTER PARTY RULED.  Six of us girls could not get enough dancing to new Gwen Stefani and old school Madonna (Man, do I have blisters from that. Stiletto's are NOT to be worn while shaking your booty). CARL FROM THE BUCKWILDZ and GO MUSIC got in on the disco action.  DJ ADAM, who I have not seen in forever, was there, and my girl STEPH DAWG was lookin' so hot the windows fogged up. After enough stuff got broken, the party started sputtering. I baled at 5 a.m.

On a somber note, it was tacky of me to blab my big mouth all over about who's with who a few issues back.  Please accept my sincerest apologies. You know who you are.
