If you sing "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus So I Burned Down the House" as you shop for gifts at the Army surplus store, then I have a party for you. Nothing says "holiday" more than a night with C.F.A. and people dressed as lumberjacks. (Of course, what kind of holiday is up to you.) Friday you can walk that walk, plus chat about cats, when Joe Korbuszewski presents Awesomeparty2012. If anything, we all could use a new holiday tradition.

Friday, Dec. 14, at The New Frontier Lounge, Camp666 presents Awesomeparty2012. The soiree features the much-anticipated debut of Scooterhorsey as well as the beloved Mahnhammer and C.F.A., plus the premier of And My Head Explodes Episode 2. But wait, there's more! You will also have the chance to win a date with Tacoma's "Most Eligible Bachelor," Alex Henderson from Dirty Oscar's Annex.

Weekly Volcano caught up with Korbuszewski, co-founder of Camp666 - Tacoma's website for all things awesome - to chat about the party, lumberjacks and the end of the world. Oh, and cats.

WEEKLY VOLCANO: So, first let me say, I'm diggin your site. Thank you for your fine service to Tacoma.

JOE KORBUSZEWSKI: Well, thank you! I try to do what I can do when I can do it.

VOLCANO: OK. AwesomeParty. How awesome is it? How did this event come about? What's your relationship with Scooterhorsey, Mahnhammer and C.F.A.?

KORBUSZEWSKI: Basically, I can assure you that the level of awesome contained in this party will more than likely change the orbit of the Earth.  You know how the Japanese Earthquake changed the Earth's axis and thus shortened our days by one-millionth of a second?  Well, I'm going for a full one-thousandth of a second. As far as the bands go, C.F.A. and Mahnhammer are both made-up of some of the most fashionable guys in Tacoma ... and seeing as how I only associate with people who have impeccable taste ...  Well, it's kind of perfect that they play. Scooterhorsey is made up of Gregory Red, Juicy Garibaldi and The Charm. I don't really know what to say about them. They are like an enigma wrapped up in a puzzle and placed inside of a mystery. After Scooterhorsey plays, no one will be the same.

VOLCANO: Please explain And My Head Explodes Episode 2.

KORBUSZEWSKI: And My Head Explodes was a short epic film starring local actor, director and producer Elliot Greenman. Elliot is the single most talented individual I've ever met aside from Scooterhorsey's Gregory Red. Over the past few months he has produced a sequel and it will be screened at Awesomeparty for the first time ever. I can promise you that this movie will win several Oscars and people at Sundance and Cannes will be begging to bask in its glory.

VOLCANO: I won't be present at the party, but can I still win a date with Tacoma's most eligible bachelor then - since I'm married - pawn him off to my cousin?

KORBUSZEWSKI: Unfortunately, you have to be present to win. But we have produced a calendar featuring Alex, so if you feel like you are missing out you can look upon Alex's manliness for a full 365 days. It's too bad that the calendar doesn't smell like Alex, because without that musk, I don't feel the photos really capture all of who Alex is ... and that's saying something because the photos are amazing. Anyways, you will be able to purchase a calendar at the show and soon we will have them for sale on Camp666.com. You could hide it somewhere that your husband won't find it.

VOLCANO: What are you most looking forward to at Awesomeparty2012?

KORBUSZEWSKI: I'm looking forward to a full-on Tacoma explosion. There has never been so much facial hair and flannel in one place, except maybe at a lumberjack convention. Most of all though, I'm looking forward to spending a night out with my wife ... and cats. There will be cats.

VOLCANO: Anything else readers should know?

KORBUSZEWSKI: I keep hearing that the world is apparently going to end on December 21. I doubt that's true, but if it is, this will probably be your last chance to get as awesome as we are going to get.
