As the world of entertainment, media, arts and technology continues to grow, it creates exciting opportunities for those who seek the challenge of creative problem solving.

Full Sail University, located in Winter Park, Florida, offers students the classes and experiences to be successful in this field.

"If you have a dream, we'll take that dream seriously," said the university's military relations director, Aaron Hall, an Air Force veteran.

For transitioning servicemembers interested in this job market, Full Sail University offers intensive on-line and campus undergraduate and graduate programs. The school's degree programs are offered at an accelerated pace, which allows students to graduate in approximately half the time of a traditional bachelor's program.

"Courses are designed in a specific ‘building block' order ... helping our students to prepare for the 24/7 nature of their chosen industry.  Whether students attend Full Sail on campus ... or from across the country, our students get the same access to industry experts," explained Hall.

Founded in 1979, Full Sail University is an award-winning educational leader for those intent on a career in rapidly evolving interface of entertainment (sports, media, arts) and technology.

The university has been noticed by the educational and entertainment industries.

In 2016, The Hollywood Reporter reported that the school was one of the "Top 25 Music Schools." In 2018, The Princeton Review selected Full Sail as one of the "Top Graduate & Undergraduate Schools to Study Game Design," and The Wrap Magazine placed the university as one of the "Top Film Schools" in the country.

"We aim to be a presence, be known and, if needed, provide resources," continued Hall, "and if a veteran is looking to make a career in the entertainment and media industries, we want to be the place that supports them on the journey."

He explained that Full Sail University students are typically past the discovery mode and know they have a passion for a career in areas including music, art and design, technology, filmmaking, gaming, or the business behind entertainment.

"Successful students are committed, dedicated, driven and ambitious," Hall said.

The university places a special interest on veterans.

"Our Military Outreach Department is a specialized team that understands the unique circumstances of military and veteran life," he explained. "We have a significant amount of veteran interest, and the better Full Sail University can be there to show our support, the better we can serve veterans."

Hall pointed out that veterans have the experience and talents that make them successful in the course work.

"In many cases, their military service has helped them decide what they want and do not want in life, so they have a drive and ambition that can't be matched," he added.

With a degree from Full Sail University, graduates have found rewarding work on albums, movies, world tours, and blockbuster games.

"With over 65,000-plus graduates worldwide, our alumni have worked on award-winning projects to include Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, Addy, MTV Video Music and Video Game awards," Hall concluded.
