1st Special Forces Group scholarships available

The United States Army Special Forces Scholarship Fund is accepting applications for its 2012.Scholarship awards program. Sons and daughters of active and retired 1st SFG 18-Series Soldiers and non-18-Series Soldiers who have served in 1st SFG for at least five years are eligible. Scholarship applications will be accepted until March 15.

The Special Forces Scholarship Fund is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization that awards merit-based post secondary educational scholarships to the daughters and sons of current and veteran Special Forces Soldiers.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a daughter or son of a current or veteran U.S. Army Special Forces Soldier and by Oct. 15 be under 26 years for undergraduate scholarships or under 28 years for graduate scholarships.
  • Be a high school senior, graduate, or be registered as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited college or post secondary vocational/technical institute.
  • For graduate school applicants, be enrolled as a college senior or have obtained a bachelors degree from an accredited college/university and have applied and/or been accepted to an accredited graduate school program.
