Walking from gallery to gallery, up to Hilltop, down to Pacific Avenue, across town to Sixth Avenue, over to the Dome District is damn tough. Thankfully, for the last three years Tacoma has had the ART BUS to rely on - the creation of T-town's own Angela Jossy, and pretty much the bestest idea there ever was. Each Third Thursday the ART BUS shuttles riders from gallery to gallery, and from museum to museum, accomplishing more than any one person could ever dream of on foot, and at the same time building a communal vibe that's worth its weight in gold.

Thursday, March 21 from 5:45-9 p.m., in celebration of three years of ART BUS, the celebrity tour guide will be Robert Thielke, the dude on the late-night Vern Fonk Insurance commercials. Thielke has ripped off Forrest Gump, Napoleon Dynamite and The Sopranos in his commercials. Maybe he'll shoot a rip off of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (look it up) on the BUS.
