Shiny, happy people, unite. Atlanta-based orchestral-pop heroes Little Tybee brings its national tour to Tacoma's Mandolin Café on April Fools Day. It would probably be best to classify them somewhere between light-hearted orchestral pop and Tropicalia orchestral pop. Yes, it's a tiny space between the two genres, but this tight-knit bunch of friends enjoys existing in the little space - thus its name.

April Fools!

Yes, the six musicians ARE close friends, but they explore all 37 orchestral pop sub-genres. According to press release hype, "Little Tybee isn't afraid to experiment freely, even dangerously at times, to follow a musical idea to its ultimate end. This mentality has led the group to explore music that transcends genre and packs a much bigger punch than their modest title implies."

If you have a cinder block dropped on your XBOX, or some horrible prank, find happiness at the Mandolin Sunday night.
