In 2011 students involved with Pacific Lutheran University's MediaLab - described online as a multimedia agency and applied internship and research program based in the School of Arts + Communication" - debuted the film Overexposed: The Cost of Compassion

to rave reviews in Seattle. According to hype, the film "explores the complexities of ‘compassion fatigue,' a condition that affects many care givers and those repeatedly exposed to tragedy and trauma."

Wednesday, the filmmakers will host a free screening of the film for South Sound audiences, including a panel discussion of expects in nursing, family therapy and social work.

The screening is part of an ongoing "Focus Series" presented by the PLU School of Arts and Communication.
