There are few people the Tacoma Public Library could have taped for a series of workshops focusing on the art and business of hip-hop than Quincy Henry, better known behind the mic as Q-Dot. A local entertainer and event producer with a full resume of impressive feats, Q-Dot continues his month-long series of hip-hop workshops for ages 13-20 at the downtown Main Library Thursday with instruction titled, "I've got a song/songs...now what?"

Subsequent workshops include instruction on hip-hop as a business and why education is important.

The class kicks off at 2 p.m., and registration is required.

[Tacoma Main Library-Olympic Room, 2-8 p.m., registration available at tacomapubliclibrary.org, 1102 Tacoma Ave. S., Tacoma, 253.292.2001]
