Bates Technical College always gets in on the Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration - and this year is no different. Friday, the school will sponsor a free screening of Stanley Nelson's documentary, Freedom Riders, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the downtown campus. "Bates is honored to showcase this remarkable documentary at our celebration," said Bates' Kath Flores in a press release. Monday, Bates students will march to the Tacoma Dome from the downtown campus as part of Tacoma's yearly MLK celebration.
