Last time anyone looked (or cared enough to notice) that big-ass, cold, sterile building was still in full operation on the Tacoma Tideflats. The Northwest Detention Center, in all its ICE-y glory, is an abomination to civil liberties and the basic principles this country was built on, not to mention a goddamn embarrassment to Tacoma. The Northwest Detention Center - and everything that's so wrong about it - is happening HERE. We own that. Saturday at 3 p.m. a "Noise Demo" and protest will go down at the epicenter. Bring something loud.
