An Air Force Rifle Detail, assigned to Joint Base Lewis-McChord, render a three-volley salute during a military honors funeral at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington, May 31, 2023. The funeral honored Lt. Cmdr. Richard "Skip" Brunhaver, a Vietnam-era naval aviator and former prisoner of war. Brunhaver was forced to eject from his aircraft and subsequently captured Aug. 24, 1965. He was held captive for more than seven years, until Feb. 12, 1973, when he was released alongside 590 other Americans.
