Opportunity to test ride ORVs

Would you like the opportunity to test ride an All Terrain Vehicle, or ATV, this weekend?

If so, show up at the Off Road Vehicle, or ORV, park on JBLM - Lewis Main on Saturday, April 17.

And make the dirt fly.

Billed as Demo Day, this first annual event will run from 9 am to 3 pm.  The park is located two miles past the skeet range.

"We plan to give soldiers and their family members the chance to test ride one of our vehicles," wrote Vicki Gray, owner of South Bound Honda and South Sound Honda, in an email.

Joining Gray will be Yamaha representative, Warren Fossum, who will also bring an impressive line of ATVs.

While no experience is required to test drive a Honda or Yamaha ATV, all riders must be at least 18 years old and wear ankle-covering boots.

"Many times soldiers may not have the time or know where to ride ATVs," continued Gray.

"This event will give them exposure to a recreation opportunity they might otherwise not have a chance to partake in."

For those bringing their families with them, there will be bounce house available for kids and free food and drink, while they last.

Both Gray and Fossum agree that the event is about having a lot fun while learning about the best Honda and Yamaha ORVs have to offer.
