Whether they are leaving for deployment or heading out on TDY for a few weeks, soldiers are constantly coming and going. This means stopping the mail, emptying the fridge and handling a dozen other things, which sometimes includes arranging for long-term pet care.
Luckily there is a local option to help service members and their furry friends.
The Pet Brigade on Ft. Lewis is the only kennel option on either of the bases and as a result they are familiar with extended stays while soldiers are deployed. Reservations can be made by phone, 253-912-4898, or online at www.thepetbrigade.com. Special rates are available for boarding lasting longer than 31 days.
