The Association of the U.S. Army is more than just the professional organization that represents the largest of the armed services; it is the conduit that brings civilians and military together to better community relations on and off an installation.

"This is the best way to tear down the ‘gates' of Joint Base Lewis-McChord so that the outside community can embrace the military who are our neighbors," said Carlene Joseph, president of the Captain Meriwether Lewis chapter here at JBLM. "AUSA creates a common bond that ties that military together with businesses, schools and local governments, with mutually beneficial results."

Furthermore, belonging to AUSA can benefit not only where you live, but also where you work. Ties to AUSA can boost your business and help local business owners to reach that valuable market segment of Soldiers, as well as offer services that are in need.
