We know the weather might not scream "let's visit a waterfall" but Salish Lodge can change that. Salish Lodge and Spa located about an hour from Joint Base Lewis-McChord could be just the winter escape you're looking for.

Salish Lodge grants visitors a truly Northwest experience with its cozy interior perched above the stunning Snoqualmie Falls, surrounded by rock and greenery. The 268-foot waterfall will quickly become the centerpiece of your getaway with views from inside the lodge as well as from viewing platforms outside.

The cozy vibes continue in each of the 86 guestrooms. Each room features a gas fireplace, oversized soaking tubs as well as a deck, so you can hear the roar of the falls even when you're in your room. Exclusive room options include their patio room which features your own personal fire pit that's lit each evening. Plus this allows you the option to order a s'mores kit to roast marshmallows on your patio. Upgrading to receive a view of the Snoqualmie river is also an option.

Once you've settled into your room and soaked in all of the falls, we suggest heading to the spa. A multi-award winning spa including "Top 50 Hotel Spas in the United States" by Conde' Nast Travelers, this spa won't disappoint. It's important to note that all spa treatments require an advance reservation, so we suggest making the plans before you arrive for your trip.

Multiple massage treatments, facial treatments, exfoliation treatments and more are available for reservation. Soaking pools, sauna and a steam room are also available by appointment only.

After you've spent the day relaxing it's time to indulge in their Northwest inspired menus at their restaurants. There are three options when it comes to dining on property: The Dining Room, The Attic and their newest addition, The Lounge.

The Attic provides a casual and comfortable vibe with a menu consisting of soups, salads and various starters such as burrata, cheese plates and more. This establishment is 21+.

The Dining Room offers not only stunning views of Snoqualmie Falls and the Snoqualmie River, but it also features an amazing cuisine. The extensive dinner menu includes grilled salmon, pork chops, filet mignon and so much more. They also feature a vegan options as well.

The real star of the dining experience at Salish Lodge is their breakfast served in The Dining Room. Well known for their Old Fashioned Steel Cut Oats served with Salish Honey, poached fruit and brown sugar. It's so good it can also be purchased in the gift shop to make at home.

For something quick, grab an espresso in the morning or a cocktail at night at The Lounge. Inspired by natural beauty, The Lounge is the perfect spot for grabbing a bite to eat. They also have a full menu focused on seasonal ingredients.

If a day trip is more to your liking, non-hotel guests are able to book a relaxing session at the Salish Spa also. But we highly recommend planning an overnight visit for a true Pacific Northwest getaway.

Before booking a reservation be sure to check out the many packages on their website that include overnight stays, dining credit and spa credit for a lower price. To check out prices and book your stay visit, https://www.salishlodge.com/
