Parent University coming to JBLM-McChord Field

The 13th annual Parent University, a day-long educational event for military parents to learn about issues related to parenting, is March 27 at the McChord Field Clubs and Community Center.

The event is open to all military members, Army, Navy, Air Force, Reserve and National Guard.

The event is tentatively scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will feature a variety of speakers throughout the day to address topics such as: positive parenting, stress, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, autism and responsible television viewing for children.

Parents will have a choice of four presentations to choose from at each session.

Free childcare will be provided at the McChord Child Development Center with early registration. Registration forms for this event will be available within the next three weeks, and can be picked up at the CDC, Youth Center and the Airman and Family Readiness Center.
