COCKTAILS 101

El Gaucho Tacoma is launching “Cocktails 101,” a monthly cocktail education series designed to edify and entertain while demonstrating how guests can bring a bit of the legendary El Gaucho swank home. First class is Classic Cocktails 101 — Gin Martini, Vodka Martini, Manhattan — Friday, April 17 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Matriculation fee: $40 per person, plus tax and gratuity. El Gaucho is at 2119 Pacific Ave. in downtown Tacoma.

STAR CHEFS ON BROADWAY

The Broadway Center will host 300 people for a cocktail reception and formal dinner and auction featuring signature dishes from El Gaucho, Maxwell’s, Brix 25 and others Sunday, May 3 to benefit its education program. The 5 p.m. party costs $150 per person. Reserve your spot at 253.591.5439.
