Tranna Montana show

For this latest installment of Olympia love, I decided to consult with what you might call a 360 expert.

Sure, I’ve received many recommendations from Tacomans on Olympian places that I need to check out, but I sought the assistance of an Olympia local because what I was really after was a guided tour.

So, South Sounders, please allow me to introduce you to the one and only Tranna Montana.

Tranna sent me a text and told me that I had to meet her at Le Voyeur Café and Lounge. I couldn’t wait to check this vegetarian restaurant out because several of you have told me that it’s funky cool. Walking into Le Voyeur, I was immediately fascinated with the urban ambiance, and if I wasn’t a person of virtue, I would’ve stolen the vintage Prince poster on the wall. Tranna took me to the back bar where we laughed and laughed about all kinds of gutter-brained ideas. She had the burger and delicious French fries, and I had one of the tastiest quesadillas of all time. I’d eat just about anything on that menu after this experience. I also highly encourage everyone to visit Le Voyeur for the bathroom, which made me laugh out loud because it’s covered in graffiti of all kinds. Ahhh, Oly.

Following, Tranna led me to The Brotherhood Lounge, and she told me stories about how the talented DJ that was spinning vintage R&B cuts also works at the local record store. The Broho was buzzing with all sorts of hip cats and this amazing bar really is the quintessential Olympia hangout.

At this point, I was more than happy with my Oly excursion, especially because Tranna is such excellent company, but she said she wanted to show me just one more location. So we skipped on down to Quality Burrito, commonly known as The QB. We high-stepped it to the back bar, which had a little bit of a funk of the nasal sort, but that didn’t matter based on the funk of the environment. Let’s just say this, shortly after our arrival the DJ threw on some old-school Eazy-E, and the DJ was female. Get it, grrrl! While at The QB, Tranna continued to treat me like a princess (we all know she’s the queen), and she bought my PBRs the whole night. The QB was the busiest of each of the spots, and it was so fun to case the joint because of the diverse crowd. Our cocktail gal was also the sweetest of peas.

Again and again, I can’t encourage you fancy readers enough to visit Olympia.

Who knows? Maybe you’ll even run into Tranna Montana along the way.
