Last Thursday night\'s second annual Block Tie Party at the Washington State History Museum offered a great atmosphere for the 200-plus downtown residents and others to mingle.  Attendees were given free reign to check out all of the museum exhibits. Many marveled at the intricate stitching and inspired designs of the antique and newly-made quilts on display. Those curious about the plethora of condo construction were able to ask questions of real estate brokers, mortgage specialists and urban living planners to their hearts’ content. Angela Jossy\'s sweet ethereal singing floated above the chatter while swift decimation of tasty nibbles catered by the Vault took place on the second floor. Guitarist and singer Matt Coughlin performed a bit later in the evening. Embellish owner Patricia Lecy-Davis mixed with friendly faces and met strangers with a smile. And for once, the Link Light Rail was still running when people could benefit from it and whisked folks back to their lofts, condos and studios in the high rises at the event’s close.
