Hairchat goes to the dogs

A trip to Soulful Tails

Often, after I get my hair done, I go far too long without washing it.

Thing is, I suck at styling, and it never looks as good as the pros get it to look.

Turns out I’m no better with my four legged friends, or at least one of them.

After Tank went in to Soulful Tails several weeks ago, he came out with his tail stub wagging, grinning his puppy grin, hair looking like a cow-patterned Fabio.

Unlike most grooming places, Soulful Tails lets the pups roam free before their time being groomed, which gives them social playtime and keeps them from getting too stressed out. Mid-grooming reiki and natural products, and aromatherapy help, too.

But, unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to make an appointment since both hounds decided to take mud baths over the rainy weekend.  I took matters into my own hands, washing them myself.  Bill, short-haired as he is, looked like a rock star when we were done.

Not so, Tank: his ears curled unattractively, the hair between his toes puffed up, and his faux-hawk fluffed in a not entirely fetching manner.

Next time: Tank gets the Soulful Tails treatment.
