Artist Irene Deneen, whose medium is makeup,  showed up at last Friday’s reception for Desiree Flerchinger at Jazzbones looking cool and green as a cucumber — in the best of ways.

Her kelly green dress, described as “hella old,” is echoed in the green lining around her eyes and mixes with her recently purchased Nordstrom “piratey boots,” of which she says, “I didn’t think they’d go, but whatev.”



Accessorizing the look are tights by Express and a supercool pendant pairing. The metallic tassel is vintage while the rabbit fur black pendant is borrowed from a Betsey Johnson dress.

Her hair is the result of two stylists’ efforts. Dana Redman does her cut while Sonia at Picasso does her color.



While the only ink she’s flashing is the heart on her shoulder, she explains that she has more work on her back and hip and shouts her props out to Chris James of Anchor Tattoo.
