ANNOUNCER: Locally sourced and naturally flavored ice cream is now available in University Place in the same complex as Whole Foods. Dutch and Jackie grabbed the kids and headed out to indulge themselves to try as many flavors as they could manage.

DUTCH: I really liked the location, though only a few spots are available to park directly in front of Bliss, there are a lot of spots throughout the shopping complex which left me just a few steps from my ice cream fix. Once in, there is a bit of an industrial feel to the décor, but it is also very bright and welcoming with window seating on two sides, a few tables in the middle and several large cases of ice cream just waiting to be tasted and served.

JACKIE: If you visit the Bliss website you can get acquainted with the owners, Theresa and Stacie. These sisters have a vision of providing delectable, creamy scoops using natural ingredients -- that means they are dietary restriction conscience so there are no artificial dyes and always options that are nut, dairy, egg and gluten-free. And though they're a small batch creamery, there's no shortage of options. My eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store as I eyed the selection. They're eager to offer up samples to help you make up your mind.

DUTCH: With so many flavors, it's really hard to decide, which almost ensures that I'll be back to try the ones I didn't have time for on this visit. Some that I did have a chance to try were the Southern Butter Pecan, Mint Chip, Honey Vanilla, Butterscotch Oatmeal Cookie, Brown Sugar Fig and the Peanut Butter n Chocolate. I would swear that each one was creamier than the next, but with the variety of flavors here, you certainly won't confuse one flavor with another.

JACKIE: I'm daydreaming about their seasonal selections on the regular while cyberstalking their social media feed, and had to indulge in two of the seasonal flavors on their way out: Brown Sugar Fig and Sugar Plum. Le sigh.

DUTCH: What would an ice cream place be without kid-friendly flavors and activities? Here at Bliss, not only do they have kid flavors like Bubble Gum and Cookie Monster (which is just cookies and cream with blue ice cream), they also recently held a contest where kids could create their own flavor -- and the result is on the menu under the name of Freckled Sensation, which is a cake batter ice cream base and filled with chocolate chips and sprinkles.

JACKIE: So fun! Plus, they have coloring sheets and crayons. With all the kid-friendly finds, Bliss is perfectly located so that it's the best finale to a family date to the library.
