BEER & ICE CREAM

Like beer? How about ice cream? How about combined? Pint Defiance (2049 Mildred St. W., Tacoma) hosts your perfect end of summer event. That's right, summer isn't just for the kiddos anymore. Pint Defiance is partnering with local hand-crafting, frosty treat geniuses Ice Cream Social to make beer floats. Enjoy the flavorful matrimony of Ninkasi Vanilla Oatis and Choklat Creme Brulee.

ART AND WINE WALK

Tacoma's Stadium District presents its 5th annual Art and Wine Walk from 4-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24. Beginning at Columbia Bank attendees may stroll through 31 venues while sipping on fabulous wine, nibble pairings and admiring art for $35. Must be 21 to attend and have valid ID. WORLD OF WHITE WINE  

There really is no better way to throw a fundraiser than to include culinary delights and libations. Clover Park Technical College Culinary Arts students will be prepare a 5-course meal with wine pairings at the World of White Wine Benefit Dinner at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at the college, 4500 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, in Lakewood. Tickets are $95 and must be purchased prior to the event. Proceeds benefit the Jolly Morse Scholarship of Culinary Excellence. For ticket details, visit cptc.edu/winedinner.

TACOMA FOOD CO-OP PARTY

Tacoma Food Co-Op (3002 Sixth Ave., Tacoma) is celebrating its two-year anniversary from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25. Take a self-guided tour through the store and sample wines, brews and other treats. This event is free to attend and open to the public.
