BITE US: Twisted Kilt

Where it's safe to wear your scarf in Puyallup

By Jennifer Johnson on October 11, 2011

Aiming to be the home-team hangout for soccer fans in the Puyallup area, Twisted Kilt is all about socializing, drinking and getting down on good food. Chef Greg Savage has put together a menu covering the basics and offering a little something more. Featuring Irish and American dishes, the menu features favorites like bangers and mash, fish and chips, shepherd's pie, Guinness meatballs and corned beef and cabbage. On the non-Irish side, burgers, a bacon cheeseburger, deli and hot sandwiches, chef salad, Caesar and spinach salad, chicken tenders, nachos, wings, potato salad and house made pub chips are served. Rueben sliders, the most popular dish at Twisted Kilt, feature corned beef braised in-house, saukraut, Swiss and 1000 Island dressing on the little sandwiches.

Fun fact: Twisted Kilt has a $1 option to add a fried egg to just about anything you want. Go wild.

Of the desserts, the Guinness chocolate cake stands out.

You won't find Budweiser among the 14 tap handles at this new South Meridian bar; instead microbrews like Ninkasi's Total Domination IPA and Brougham Bitter keep it interesting, alongside a full selection of liquor and wine.
