ALASKA HALIBUT SEASON: With the arrival of the Alaska halibut season, El Gaucho Tacoma (2119 Pacific Ave.) will be serving its halibut "Oscar"-style, that is, with Dungeness crab and creamy, buttery sauce Béarnaise.

ANNIVERSARY: 1022 South (South J Street, between South 10th and 11th) will throw a cocktail party to celebrate its two-year anniversary and to debut the new spring/summer menu 4-11 p.m. Tuesday, March 29. Complementing their more than 40 cocktails for the new season, the 1022 food menu will feature a variety of new plates. The night of the party, all menu cocktails will be specially priced at $6.

BREWER'S NIGHT: The Parkway Tavern hosts Ninkasi Brewing Co. out of Eugene for a night of their brew and giveaways 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 29.

BREWMASTER'S DINNER: Salty's at Redondo Beach has teamed up with Mac & Jack's Brewery to host a five-course Brewmaster's Dinner at 6 p.m. Friday, March 25. The menu will include Maine lobster tail, Hawaiian tombo, char siu pork loin, jumbo sea scallops and strawberry-rhubarb tart. The cost is $64.99 per person. Get in on it at 253.945.8248.

CAPITAL FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL: This annual rite of spring will offer samplings from 44 wineries and 15 microbreweries from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 26 at Saint Martin's University (5300 Pacific Ave. SE, Lacey). TEQUILA DINNER: Duke's Chowder House (3327 Ruston Way, Tacoma) hosts a Herradura Tequila Dinner 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 5. The cost is $85 per person. Reserve your spot at 206.985.9466.

CHATEAU STE. MICHELLE IN THE HOUSE: John Sarich, culinary director at Chateau Ste. Michelle, will educate and entertain at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 13 at Duke's Chowder House (3327 Ruston Way) in Tacoma.

3-MARTINI LUNCH: In honor of Administrative Professionals Week, Salty's at Redondo Beach (28201 Redondo Beach Dr. S., Des Moines) will serve a three-course lunch in martini glasses for $19.99 per person April 25-29.
