Recently I shared the noon hour with Joolie Heaps, owner of Box Top Vintage in downtown Tacoma. Heaps swears by the sandwiches at Dorky's Arcade. Always game to try new eats, I ordered the highly recommended Calvin Club, a triple-decker stuffed with ham and turkey slices, bacon, tomato and spinach with a smear of herbed ranch and cheese on Como artisan bread. The sandwich arrives with chips, and I can attest that it's a simple lunch that satisfies.
Some of Heaps's fellow downtown Tacoma business owners have shared that they can feel trapped at their shops, unable to get out and get a decent lunch. Dorky's has a solution - they offer delivery Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. One might not think of a retro gaming arcade as a place for victuals, but au contraire. Hoagies, Italian meat sub, Rueben, roast beef, tuna and vegetarian sandwiches, salads, appetizers and 12-inch pizzas on Grand Central Bakery flatbread crust await. And that goodness is only complemented by fun snacks and desserts like Ants on a Log (celery, peanut butter, raisins), Pac-Man power pellets (bacon and spinach wrapped around water chestnuts), PB&J, Jeff's Ice Cream and the Elvis, a Nutella, banana, bacon and peanut butter grilled sandwich.

The owner is very rude and has idiotic rules. There's a jukebox, but you can only play what they like. If you lose a quarter because a game is broken (with no posted warning) he will walk right by and leave you hanging.
I've met tons of folks that avoid his arcade like the plague. It's a shame.

My husband and I LOVE this barcade. It has all the perfect elements of hipster clad employees with suprisingly friendly dispositions and a delightful plethora of all the right games that drip of nostalgia! On top of that, the games are actually 25-50 cents which is so great. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Richard is correct.
While their games are original classics, the owners bring down the atmosphere. An OK place to go to if you want to spend a few minutes, but beyond that you may want to keep to yourself and stay on the downlow because if you're not "their kind of people" they'll make you feel about as welcome an ant at a picnic . That means they will make stuff up about you in order to kick you out. It's happened to a lot of good, money-spending people.
1 star solely for the games. The management would do well to change their ways.
