Tis the season for farmers markets. That's right, as the clouds begin to part more permanently and the feeling of sunshine returns, so does the abundance of fresh produce, flowers and other products from local makers.

In anticipation, we have compiled below some of the various different farmers markets in the South Sound. We've got our reusable shopping bags ready and are eagerly awaiting to hit up these local farmers markets all summer long.

Make sure to check websites for updated information on openings.

Lakewood Farmers Market

Opening June 2, the Lakewood Farmers Market features top, fresh produce from local farmers. Contact Sally Gilpin Martinez at smartinez@cityoflakewood.us for daily changes.

Lakewood Farmers Market, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., every Tuesday, June 2-Aug. 25, 6000 Main St. SW, Lakewood, cityoflakewood.us/Lakewood-farmers-market/

Steilacoom Farmers Market

The Steilacoom Farmers Market is set to kick off June 17 and is every Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. until Aug. 26. A large variety of organic produce, flowers, oysters and other tasty treats a plenty. BONUS: the market is located right next to stunning views of the Puget Sound, so after grabbing some fresh produce, head down to the water and scope out the gorgeous view.

Steilacoom Farmers Market, 3-7 p.m., every Wednesday, June 17-Aug. 26, corner of LaFayette and Wilkes St., townofsteilacoom.org

Point Ruston Tacoma Farmers Market

We absolutely love the location of the Point Ruston Farmers Market. Located in the Grand Plaza and surrounded by Commencement Bay, it's the perfect location to shop local produce, flowers, pickles, baked goods, and then take a walk along Point Ruston after. We would even recommend purchasing a yummy treat at the market to accompany you on your walk.

Point Ruston Tacoma Farmers Market, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., every Sunday, June 7-Sept. 27, The Grand Plaza at Point Ruston, 5005 Ruston Way, Tacoma, pointruston.com

Olympia Farmers Market

While the Olympia Farmers Market is open year-round, a beautiful summer day is even more of an excuse to head down and check it out. Trust us, you won't regret it, with one of the best farmers market selections we've ever seen. We're talking farm vendors, artisan vendors, craft vendors and tons of food trucks and options to eat onsite.

Olympia Farmers Market, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., every Saturday and Sunday, 700 Capitol Way N, Olympia, olympiafarmersmarket.com
