One of the largest benefits of military service for active duty, reserves and family members are the savings available for higher education. From a certificate to medical school, you can save a bundle as you prepare for a satisfying career.

These options are discussed in great detail Saturday during a morning of specialty webinars – all free – that give you an opportunity to learn about your opportunities and ask questions from the experts.

Featured Saturday are a number of ways to save. Besides all of them covered by the GI Bill and Tuition Assistance, they also feature other savings opportunities. Here are your webinar choices.

FREE MEDICAL SCHOOL

You read that right … in fact, you are actually paid to go to medical school. Through the Uniformed Services University, regardless of your rank now, you can earn degrees as doctors, nurses or scientists, attending at the full salary and benefits of a junior officer in exchange for a seven year service commitment.

SHORTER TIME IN COLLEGE

It used to be that you couldn’t use your GI Bill/TA if you did a “go at your own pace” college program, but that has changed. In fact, you can work at your own pace, even finishing college faster, which also saves you money.

ARMY COOL PROGRAM

COOL (Credentialing Opportunities On-Line) gives soldiers certifications and licenses related to their Military Occupational Specialties (MOSs), plus you can now access up to $4,000 in assistance each year to voluntary pursue industry-recognized credentials through the new Army Credentialing Assistance Program. Find out programs available to get you started.

FREE COLLEGE CREDITS

Your MOS and military experience can actually count as college credits – meaning you can add them to your degree therefore waiving requirements which saves you both time and money. What applies and how to get started are answered in this webinar.

60% OFF TUITION

City University, well known for its programs such as education and cyber, is offering military up to 60% off tuition. In this webinar, you’ll find out which programs you can start and how to get this massive tuition break.

DRIVE BIG TRUCKS

Day and long-haul truckers make huge salaries and signing bonuses, plus you can get the needed certification using your military benefits. In a down economy, this industry is one that gets you employed after the service with a good paying job. Get the answers Saturday.

All of these topics will be covered Saturday. Plus, any you miss, you can watch them later – just sign up and you’ll get the recorded version emailed to you that afternoon.
