Garage Plus is a destination concept where every effort is made to provide customers with a "condo garage."

"We want people to stay here, to enjoy their time here," Kevin Craft, sales manager, said as we inspected a number of storage units. "We knew right from the start that we had to have the ability to allow owners the ability to work comfortably on their projects."

Located at 21607 Mountain Highway East in Spanaway, the newly constructed Garage Plus is owned by Michele and Dan Simon, Merry and Mike Stevulak, and Nancy and Clair Jenkins.

"Not only do we offer a unique service, but we also work hard to help the community," Michele Simon said.

Garage Plus provides owners of prized possessions the space they deserve.  From classic cars and RVs to hobbies and small business work, the private and secured garage condos are as premium and personalized as the goods and tools stored in them.

"It's your space, and you are the owner," Craft explained.

Here's what can be purchased.

  • Six active use storage sizes from 320 to 990 square feet.
  • Fourteen by fourteen-foot fully automated, secured doors.
  • Radiant floor heating.
  • Oversized driving aisles.
  • Individually metered 60 amp service with 220 volts optional.
  • High-speed Internet and cable TV hook-up.
  • Customized add-ons including car lift, cabinets, loft, enhanced lighting and flooring.

With the ownership of a garage condo comes the added amenities of a 2,600 square-foot clubhouse, 24/7 state-of-the-art security and fire protection, on-site car and RV wash, RV disposal and air/water facilities, and on-site showers and restrooms.

Along with providing the opportunity to acquire a condo garage, Garage Plus helps Servicemembers and their families.

Working with the Washington Army National Guard's Veteran and Family Readiness services - also known as J9 - Michelle Simon made it her mission to help those who need it.

"Last Christmas I worked with J9 and helped provide gifts to five families," she said quietly. "We'll do more this year."

Simon also hosts a one hour radio show on KLAY 1180 AM on Wednesdays from 3 to 4 p.m. that airs positive news about the military.

"Military members do so much for us, and we want to give back," Dan Simon said.

Along with a Deployment Program designed specifically for Servicemembers, Garage Plus also sponsors Friday Night Cruize Ins from 6 to 9 p.m.
